Apple Ginger Cooler #SkinnyTini

Apple Ginger Cooler #SkinnyTini

Well, even though summer is technically over, the heat in San Diego has decided otherwise. We are still sweating it out, and I’m not complaining. So when my friend Kristin asked what cocktail would pair well with her Apple Pulled Pork with Pickled Onions Sandwiches, we sat on her patio and thought about it for a while. We wanted something to complement the apple, but not be too sweet, or overwhelmingly apple, as that may be just a bit too cliche. So we opted for a slightly mild apple cocktail with the soda water to add the cooling affect and the fresh ginger to give it a bite. We were pleasantly surprised with the results and TA-DA a new SkinnyTini was born! It’s super easy to find these ingredients and super easy to mix this as a cocktail in a mason jar or strain it as a stronger Tini, it just depends on what you’re in the mood for.

Skinny Apple Ginger Cooler

  • 2 oz Apple Vodka
  • 1 oz Apple Juice
  • 2 oz Soda Water
  • Fresh Grated Ginger
  • Dash of Cinnamon

Add vodka, apple juice, ginger and cinnamon to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and poor into mason jar or highball glass filled with ice top off with soda water. If serving as a tini, use less soda water and strain into martini glass then top off with soda water. Either way, be sure to garnish with fresh apple and/or cinnamon stick.

Cheers!
