Calling all afternoon sweet tooth craving, caffeine seeking, coffee lovers!
I’ve got something for you here that you’re going to love. How do I know? Because I love it and I’d never give you a recipe that wasn’t awesome, easy, healthy, simple and of course…on the skinny side! I won’t sit here and bash the Frappuccino, because let’s be honest, I’m not sure we’d know to love coffee based “milk shakes” if it weren’t for Starbucks bringing these bad boys to the market. But I will encourage you to give this recipe a try next time you’re looking for a tasty, afternoon pick-me-up!
What makes this Skinny and Healthier “Frappuccino” better?
- You can make it at home.
- It will take about 2 min.
- It will cost less than a dollar.
- It has only minimal ingredients.
- It tastes really, really good.
- It has just over 50 calories and 25% of your daily calcium.
Skinny and Healthier “Frappuccino” Recipe
- 8 oz strongly brewed, cooled Coffee
- 4 oz Light Vanilla Almond Milk*
- 1/2 T Organic Honey (optional)
- 1 T Raw Cacao Powder
- 1/4 tsp Cinnamon or Pumpking Pie Spice
- 2 cups of Ice
*You can use whatever milk you prefer. This one is lower caloires, but you could swap low fat or soy milk and increase the protein and add about 20-30 more calories for the entire batch.
Directions: Add all ingredients to a blender and blend on low for 5-10 seconds to crush ice then increase to max speed for 30-40 seconds to pulverize ice. Pour, serve and enjoy! This makes about 30 oz so it could easily be two servings.
Nutrition: 56 calories, 1.1g fat, 11g sugar 25% daily calcium, also high in pantothenic acid, riboflavin, vitamin B12 and E.
What’s your favorite way to crush your afternoon caffeine or sugar craving?

Teresa
Well, at least they make it easy 😉 And we can clean things up as much as we want on our end too – ha ha! On a different note, will you be at the IDEA convention in July? We should connect!
GiGi Eats Celebrities
I unfortunately will no longer be able to attend 🙁 However, it’s for an amazing reason that I will reveal on the blog in the upcoming weeks! We shall connect sometime in the future though 🙂

Yum! This would taste so good right about now. Love the addition of honey.
Teresa
Thank you Sandra! Honey is kind of the getting the glow now that folks are giving agave a hard time. Either one really works, and it’s at your discretion. I actually have honey flavored agave, ha! If you give this one a shot, let me know what you think!
