Welcome back to the Clean & Colorful Kitchen! This week we will be talking about the five ways in which the Clean & Colorful 28-Day Program can change your life for the better!

My goal in life is to help you live a Clean & Colorful Lifestyle to help you feel better, look better, naturally have more energy, reduce disease and probably even lose some weight. And to make that a reality, I’m coming at you every Friday from my Clean & Colorful kitchen (well, most of the time from the kitchen) with some real life tips, tricks, and strategies to help you master the 4 Universal Diet Truths:

  1. Eat more whole food.
  2. Eat all 5 colors.
  3. Drink a juice/smoothie.
  4. Exercise at least 21+ minutes per day.

Every Friday I’ll touch on one of those topics that will help you feel better and look better. Last week I gave you a brilliant tip about how to use those freshly boiled beans to make my super delicious turkey chili. This week I want to share with you five reasons why the 28-Day Clean & Colorful Challenge can change your life!

My passion in life is helping you!

As you already know, I am a certified holistic nutritionist, and I believe strongly in the power of food. I think that if the world just had more vegetables in it we would all be better off.

I have devoted my life to figuring out how to create systems, processes, information, motivation and basically anything necessary to help everyone understand not only the power of veggies, but to create the desire to eat them and the habits to support this.

This is why I created the Clean & Colorful Solution. It is an online digital program that gives you all of the recipes, all of the meal plans and even a workout guide to be successful in your Clean & Colorful life. It’s a 28-day challenge, and it’s pretty awesome!

This season’s theme is…

I hold this challenge a few times per year and want to share with you how it can change your life! Of course you can do this challenge on your own anytime during the year whenever you decide that you want to master the Four Universal Diet Truths.

Every time I coach the challenge there is a slightly different theme because the coaching is slightly different. That way if you have already committed to a Clean & Colorful lifestyle the challenges will still be beneficial to you.

The theme of this challenge is the Clean & Colorful Family. I feel very passionately that when you make a commitment to yourself that’s one thing, but it can sometimes take you away from your friends and family. However, when you live a Clean & Colorful lifestyle it benefits not only you but also your family.

1. I’m going to teach you how to unprocess your diet

Processed foods aren’t necessarily a terrible thing. They were created for a reason, such as to help end starvation, but that doesn’t mean that our bodies know how to process these kinds of foods. So getting more foods out of the ground instead of a box, and cooking more frequently are the best ways to boost your health.

With this challenge, you’re going to get rid of the preservatives, added colors and things that are made in a lab. And guess what? Your body is going to know what to do with it. I’m going to teach you in this challenge the easiest ways to eliminate the most nonsensical processed products from your diet and how to create your own tasty food instead.

2. I will never tell you what you can’t have

In so many weight loss programs you’re told what you can and cannot have. Usually you can’t have your favorite, most delicious items, and you feel the need to cancel of your social events. That’s not the case with Clean & Colorful Living. I’ll never tell you what you can’t have. Instead, we talk in depth about eating what you like to eat, but how to make it better by adding color to your diet.

I’m going to teach you how to shift your mentality from “I can’t have this, it’s bad for me” to “how can I add more color to this so that it’s something my body would like”. You’re going to end up substituting processed foods with foods that will make you feel better.

3. I will teach you how to properly read a nutrition label

One of the truths that make up the Four Universal Diet Truths is to have a high quality juice, smoothie or soup every day. However, now that there are juice and smoothie bars everywhere, it’s easy to accidentally choose a smoothie that is actually not all that healthy and is a sugar bomb.

I will teach you the tips and tricks behind reading nutrition labels. I’ll also give you my best practices to make this a reality in your life and take control over the produce that’s going into your body. So we’ll talk about why and how drinking a high quality juice, smoothie or soup is so good for you, and how to avoid the stuff that’s not so good for you too.

4. I believe that exercise is important when it comes to leading a Clean & Colorful lifestyle, but I won’t ask you to kill it at the gym six days per week

When we start living a healthy lifestyle it’s easy to get caught up in the workout part of things. We want to go to all of these classes and workout six days per week. Before we know it our bodies hurt, we’re sleeping in and we’ve overdone the workout part of things.

With the Clean & Colorful Challenge we talk about how to incorporating fitness into your life that’s good for your body and soul, and that you look forward to doing. It’s the type of exercise that makes you feel better when you’re done than when you started.

5. The focus of this Clean & Colorful Challenge is on family

With this challenge you will not have to pull yourself away from your friends and family. You won’t have to tell everyone that you’re going on a diet. You also won’t have to clean out your pantry and swear to never eat certain items again.

When you commit to Clean & Colorful Living your whole family truly benefits. It’s one of the most family friendly programs available because the recipes are super delicious and easy to cook. Also, because we play the game with colors and unprocessing foods it can be a very interactive process.

I don’t know if you already knew this, but I spent 14 years working for a corporate weight loss program. After signing up you got all of this food and it was great. However, you didn’t necessarily get to share the process with your family and friends, or get to learn the reasons behind things.
