Finding Clean & Colorful Success with Subway

2017 is here, and it’s time to make those New Year’s resolutions. This year, however, instead of making that resolution to lose 15 pounds, why not choose a resolution that not only will help you lose weight but will also be easier to maintain? That’s why I created the Clean & Colorful Solution last year and it’s why I am stoked to point you in the direction of Subway to help making living those Four Universal Diet Truths even easier.

The second universal diet truth is about eating all 5 colors every day. It’s as simple as making sure you add color to each meal! To make things easier SUBWAY restaurants and the American Heart Association have teamed up to create the +color initiative.  This initiative helps Americans increase their veggie and fruit intake every day.

  • Eating a variety of colors every day reduces your risk of stroke and certain cancers.
  • If Americans consumed the recommended amount of fruits and veggies daily $7.6 billion in medical costs would be saved annually.
  • 39,900 deaths would be prevented due to stroke, diabetes, and heart disease.

While adding more fruits and veggies to our diet sounds great in theory, we can sometimes feel overwhelmed by the task. However, this is where SUBWAY comes in handy! They make it easy to add color to your diet without a second thought. SUBWAY’s fresh and delicious sandwiches and salads allow you to easily increase your fruit and veggie consumption by at least two servings.

In my old life, as a road warrior on the road in small towns across the USA, I came to really appreciate Subway. I could be on the road for miles with nothing but gas stations, traditional fast food and mini-marts to choose from. I always knew I could roll into Subway and get in my veggies.

Next time you’re in need of extra color in your life, make sure to stop into your local SUBWAY restaurant for a custom sandwich full of color and great taste. I suggest adding green peppers, spinach and cucumbers to your sandwich for a fresh and flavorful meal!
