I’ve been so busy prepping and testing recipes for yummy dishes and skinny cocktails so you can enjoy the season happier and healthier than ever before! Now, here’s my stab at making the holidays even easier. With some help from my favorite intern, we have scoured the internet and found the very best gifts for you to, put on your list for santa, add to your list for the healthy hopefuls in your life — or why not just treat yourself? Investments in your health are always a good idea — either way, these goodies are sure to bring more health and happiness in 2014!

I hope this quick guide helps simplify your holidays so you can sit back, relax and enjoy the season just a little bit more. Most of these can be ordered through Amazon or another internet retailer – saving you from the hustle, bustle and potential stress of the mall. What will you do with all your spare time? Hopefully get in a few more miles, prepare an even more delicious and healthy treat for your family or take a moment for yourself. You certainly earned it!

Heathy Gift Ideas to help everybody be Skinny:

Fitmark Sport Tote $118.00

Why it’s Awesome: I will write an entire separate review on this bag that will permanently live in the review section of this blog. I cannot tell you how awesome this bag is. It also comes in black and is the best gym partner in town. The company has a great philosophy of creating quality products with the “single goal: to fill the void that exists between fashionable, high performance athletes and their bags. Whether at the gym on on the town…” I get compliments on this bag all the time and the function is no joke. Antimicrobial, good size, multiple pouches to store gym necessities. I love it! And this is just one of many great bags — so check them all out for sure!

Nike Thermafit Reversible Running headband $18

A must have for those who want to be more fit and fun in 2014 and track their progress along the way!

Fitbit Flex Wireless Activity $89.99

Why it’s Awesome: Slim, comfortable and easy to wear gadget tracks steps, distance, calories burned and active minutes. Learn how many far you go, calories you burn and how well you sleep! It also sakes you (and not your partner) with a silent wake alarm and has an LED lights show how your day is stacking up against your goal.

Manduka eKo Superlite Travel Yoga Mat $40

Why it’s Awesome: Get your yoga friend one of these 2 lb. light and easily foldable travel mats! The best part? Thanks to the biodegradable rubber, these mats won’t fade or flake. Traditional yoga mats are big and bulky — this one removes the travel barrier and would fold up right in your gym bag! I want one!

Hacking Photography Ebook $47 ($32.90 if you use code: 30EDBS at checkout)

Screen Shot 2013-12-12 at 6.31.09 PMWhy it’s Awesome: I will also write a full review on this book as well, because it’s been so helpful! If you have a friend or family member who wants to learn how to use their fancy DSLR camera, then this is a must have! I happen to know the author, he is a local SD professional photographer. He know’s his camera and has helped me and many other hopefuls learn to use our complicated machines with the simplest of instructions. This is a 10 day crash course to become a skilled photographer. This one is a little tricky, because it’s an eBook. But that makes it a great gift to send electronically to a friend or family member you won’t see in person, and save yourself the shipping cost! If you are giving it in person, get a cute USB key and load the files on there and wrap it up!

Well there you have it! My 13 recommendations for healthy gifts this holiday season! What am I missing? What are you hoping Santa has in his sleigh for you?

Happy Holidays!
