There are so many fantastic things about the holidays…and one of them is Eggnog! Nothing screams holiday cheer quite as loudly as a delicious eggnog cocktail.
But like most delicious cocktail concoctions – one of the not so awesome things about eggnog is the 344 calories per cup that come with it. Once you add some booze there, you’re looking at 500 calories pretty quick – ouch! For somebody of my size, that’s like an entire spin class to burn it off.
Not too long ago, I put out my Skinny Eggnog and Eggnog SkinnyTini, and they are both delicious! This year I gave it a coffee kick! It was a great way to put a twist on it, give you a little caffeine kick and cut the calories even more as black coffee has zero calories. We call that a woo-hoo-win-win!
Skinny Eggnog Cocktail with a Kick
- 1 1/2 oz Ketel One Vodka
- 2 oz Silk Holiday Nog
- 1 oz Chilled Coffee
- 1/2 oz Light Almond Milk
- Dash of Cinnamon
- Dash of Nutmeg
Directions: Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice and shake for 5-10 seconds to thoroughly mix and chill the cocktail. You can strain and serve up in a martini glass or on the rocks as shown. I’m loving my mini mason jars so I use them for just about everything these days.
Nutrition: 140 calories per 5 oz cocktail! Let me repeat: woo-hoo-win-win!
This recipe is perfect for any of your holiday festivities, regardless of the time of day. It can be deliciously enjoyed as a decadent dessert cocktail to end a fancy dinner party, a fun sipper to get your party guests going at a coktail pary and even quite nice for a daytime brunch-y event!
