How to use 5-hour ENERGY¬ģ Protein

If you have it after a workout…

This is actually the tricky part. I recommend protein supplements after a workout because getting 20g of high quality protein in right after a workout is essential for recovery, muscle repair and growth. But the product contains no added sugar, so it’s not a sufficient exercise recovery solution a la carte as glycogen also needs to be replenished. If you do use it after a workout, toss it in the blender with some fruit or drink it along with a banana.

Would you have it before a workout?

It’s not generally recommended to have protein prior to a workout, when you would want this energy boost, so I wouldn’t recommend downing it just before a casual workout either, but a good idea several hours before.

I think the ideal time to have the product…

Would be later in the am or earlier in the afternoon when you are looking for a sweet snack and an energy boost. This is a way better option than a handful of M&Ms, a cookie or soda. It would also be good alongside your morning snack to provide additional satiation and energy.
